    The aquatic biotopes in Peru show a large diversity from crystal
    clear mountain creeks to muddy streams in the jungle.
    This talk gives an overview of some habitates and the fish I was able to collect there.

    The unique loricariinae genus Rhadinoloricaria is poorly known in the hobby.
    In addition of a short overview of the different species and habitats also the first
    aattempts of breeding in captivity are presented.

    herein. Besides the habitat of these specialized catfishes also the interesting breeding
    strategy is described.

    The Loricariinae are a very versatile and numerous subfamily of the well known
    Plecos. This talk will give an overview of the different strategies to survive
    including reproduction.

    The genus Ixinandria was just known from preserved specimen for a long time.
    Some years ago a german aquarist brought some specimen with him and
    introduced them into the hobby.
  • Loricariinae from Rio Itaya

    Peru has a lot of beautiful rivers with and is known as a hotspot of diversity of
    the aquatic fauna. The Rio Itaya is one of these rivers and inhabits a plenty
    of loricariinae species.
